Morrissey fans are a glutton for abuse. The singer’s tours have been famously plagued with cancellations. His latest string of canceled concerts began with Morrissey’s desire to be by his ailing mother’s side. The next set of shows went up in smoke due to a bleeding ulcer, not surprising for a man that caries the weight of the world on his shoulders.

On Saturday, Morrissey posted a detailed apology to fan site True To You explaining his thoughts behind the latest string of canceled shows saying “the patient must be patient.”

As for the remaining shows in San Diego and Los Angeles, L.A’s 20,000 seat Staples Center will go meatless on March 1. McDonalds and other vendors offering “flesh as food” will be closed day of show. Morrissey commented, “I don’t look upon it as a victory for me but a victory for the animals.” To hit home the message, a portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit PETA.

Morrissey surprised fans by walking off the stage during his 2009Coachella set, siting that he could “smell burning flesh.” Goldenvoice, the festival’s organizer offered to go 100% vegetarian the following year if Morrissey would unite with The Smiths. He said no.

Jack White Performing Grammys - P 2013

Jack White appeared to drop an F-bomb on the Grammys on Sunday night, but CBS claims he didn’t.

White sang what sounded like the F-word during his performance of “Love Interruption” with Ruby Amanfu during the show, which aired live from the Staples Center on the East Coast. While the lyrics to their song don’t include the words “f— me,” it appeared that White and/orAmanfu added them in during their live performance.

Many Grammy viewers immediately took to social media to note the apparent utterance of the swear word.

But Martin Franksexecutive vp planning, policy and government affairs at CBS, insists that the F-word was not sung during White and Amanfu’s performance and that the network’s editors have listened to the performance multiple times on state-of-the-art equipment to verify that. He says the word that was sung was “fight.”

With their complex songwriting, progressive guitar chords, and explosive electronic orchestration paired with otherworldly lyrics,Muse has climbed to the higher echelon of rock stardom.

So, despite Muse’s British upbringing, they are familiar with the beauty of Southern California and Bellamy even raises his family with Kate Hudson here part-time. He said that his daily tour routine for the next few days will be his children acting as alarm clocks.

“In LA, I just get woken up by the kids first thing in the morning,” laughed Bellamy, joking that he tells his kids he needs a break “until lunch at least” because he “didn’t finish partying until like 3am last night.”

Is there potential that Muse might officially become American citizens? Well, Bellamy confessed that they might play a Jimi “Hendrix-y” cover of the “Star-Spangled Banner” at the Staples Center like they did they did at their San Diego show.

“Just instrumental… I feel like you have to be an American to sing it,” explained Bellamy. “But you never know. I might be an American soon. So, you never know… I might be able to sing it.”
