Watch Justin Timberlake's David Fincher-Directed "Suit & Tie" Video
Justin Timberlake has released the entirely black-and-white video for his comeback single “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z, as reported by Stephanie Sharp for pastemagazine.com

With recent rumors of a collaborative summer tour with Hova and a similarly-styled Grammy Awards performance, Timberlake channels his inner Sinatra and somewhat returns to his boy-band dance days in the new music video. The video was directed by David Fincher, who directed Timberlake before in The Social Network.

His first album since 2006, Justin Timberlake will release The 20/20 Experience on March 19.

President Barack Obama’s second inaugural ushered in some of music’s biggest names, and while cold temperatures typically turn these events into pea coat parades, this year featured both gorgeous formal and casual attire on stars like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry.
Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson Add Soaring Voices to Obama’s Inauguration

The inauguration of the United States president is a celebrated event indeed, even if it’s effectively tjhe follow-up to what was a landmark occasion four years ago. But if there’s anyone who can bring the (white) house down, it’s one of America’s most beloved singing ladies, the first American Idol, a songwriting legend and a showstopping choir.

The Marines are backing away from an eye-opening claim that Beyonce “did not actually sing” the national anthem at President Barack Obama’s inauguration on Monday.

The jig is up. It took less than 24 hours for news to break that Beyoncé‘s striking live performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the inaugural ceremonies for President Barack Obama on Monday might have merely a lip-synced run-through of a track she recorded earlier.

The news is a shocker, considering the R&B queen is no stranger to big stages and annihilating them in real time. It’s important to note that she did sing the National Anthem at the 2004 Superbowl live (at least, wethink she did).

It’s a big deal. In a musical feats of strength contest, the National Anthem is arguably one of the heaviest weights to lift. Artists ranging from the likes of Christina Aguilera to Steven Tyler to Roseanne Barr can vouch for that. It’s understandable that any artist who doesn’t think they could do it justice pre-record their performance. Read more here http://bit.ly/VYOGU0

10 Worst National Anthem Performances Ever

Still, it’s the anthem. A song about the strength of its country should always be sung live to prove that very point over and over again — especially on a stage that is reinstating the nation’s leader. Not to mention that the leader is a man she’s supported since he decided to make his first term run.

Ladies and gentlemen, sexy is officially back: singer/actor/overall ubermensch Justin Timberlake has returned after six long years with a massive new single titled, “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z and produced by Timbaland. It’s available digitally via iTunes, or you can stream it below.

Update: In a letter posted on his website (which you can read in full below), Timberlake announced that he’ll release a new album titled The 20/20 Experience in 2013. According to previous reports, Timberlake recorded at least 20 new tracks with Timbaland, who serves as the album’s producer.

An Open Letter to you (the fans):

I hope this gets to you the right way. It’s the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right?? Right?!?! Besides, I’d rather speak directly to all of you. And, who can knock me for having a little bit of fun with it?

Well… No more teasing. Although, it was A LOT of fun. (Did I mention that I’m having fun with this?? Ha!)

*Makes a serious face*

So, here goes:

This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the “grapevine,” I’m gearing up for a big 2013.

Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC.

The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.

What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way.

I’m calling it “The 20/20 Experience,” and it’s coming out this year.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

That’s all I’m giving you for now… I know, I know! Again, with the teasing!!!

Get ready. This is going to be fun (well, at least it is for me).

On Monday morning, Justin Timberlake is coming back. A surprise countdown on the singer’s website promises that something – expected to be a new single – will be released at the beginning of next week.

According to Billboard and the Hollywood Reporter, Timberlake has recorded around 20 songs for his third solo album. “Someone asked me the other day, ‘So are you just done with music?'” the 31-year-old said in a new video, posted to his website on Thursday. “[But] I don’t wanna put anything out that I don’t love … You have to wait for it.”

“Look I’ve only done two albums in 10 years,” Timberlake explained. “I’m the one that sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it.” Yet now, for the first time since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds, “I’m ready,” Timberlake said. The clip finishes with the singer standing by a microphone, wearing a pair of headphones.

With Timberlake’s clock ticking down, his protege Justin Bieber weighed in: “u got a good reason to be ready,” Bieber tweeted. “i have heard some stuff … #greatmusic.”

Bieber also confirmed that Timberlake is collaborating with producer Timbaland. The engineer Carl Paul had previously tweeted that Timberlake was working with Timbaland, Beyoncé and Jay-Z. “Justin, Jay Z, Timberland (sic). New record Monday,” promised the New York DJCharlamagne Tha God.

In the six years since his last LP, Timberlake’s focus has been on acting. He was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award for his role in The Social Network, and also starred in Friends with Benefits and In Time. Still, the former *N Sync star’s biggest triumphs are musical: both of his albums topped the charts in the UK, garnering three Brit awards and selling more than 20m copies worldwide.
